Couture pieces are the ultimate luxury in any design project
For the discerning client, their home demands to be as well dressed and exclusive as their couture wardrobe. It also creates an opportunity for the client to own a narrative around their design choices – why did they choose particular materials for a bespoke piece of furniture, how has that piece been made and by whom? The more exclusive and interesting the narrative, the more value it can have to the client – a reflection of their status and ability to tap into the very best of creative craftsmanship.
"I strive to deliver unique and long-lasting pieces which meet the client brief"
Over the past 3 years I have had the opportunity to conceptualize and design a wide variety of bespoke furniture, using innovative materials, shapes and finishes. I have strong relationships with a number of suppliers in the UK and Europe - all of whom work with highly trusted and skilled artisans. I understand the benefits and pitfalls of developing bespoke pieces as well as the wealth of possibilities when working with veneers, brass, lacquer, leather, fabrics and other finishes. From gathering inspirational images and materials, through to draft technical drawings to liaison with suppliers and craftspeople, I constantly strive to deliver unique and long-lasting pieces which meet the client brief.
These drawings and final images are taken from an angular dining table which I designed for a prestigious development in Chelsea.
